About

Mag. Alexa Leitner is an Austrian linguist and phonetician, and the founder and lead teacher at Studio Ling Academy. She has spent close to fifteen years teaching German as a foreign and second language — in schools, universities, NGO projects, online courses and one-to-one coaching.

Her academic background is in general and applied linguistics, with further training in second-language acquisition and phonetics. That combination is unusual, and it shows: Studio Ling is built on a strict evidence base — Perception-First teaching, comprehensible input, and a hard "no" to the idea that a Bavarian, Viennese, Zurich or Hamburg way of speaking German is somehow less correct than any other.

Language isn't a system to memorise. It's a living tool for real communication — and understanding is where everything begins.

Method

Perception-First

You listen and read long before you're pushed to speak. Fluent, accurate output is a side effect of enough well-chosen input — not a drill you grind through first.

Comprehensible input

Understandable, but never dumbed down. Context, repetition and visual support do the simplifying — the language itself stays real.

Pluricentric by design

German as it's spoken in Germany, Austria and Switzerland — three standards, one language, no single "correct" accent to chase.
